The difficulties and solutions of teaching shakespeare in Chinese colleges

For Chinese college students, Shakespeare’s works read difficult for at least the following three reasons. Firstly, Shakespeare commands a much larger vocabulary than students could ever have mastered, let alone those desolate words and whose meaning has altered. Secondly, early modern English follows grammar that differs from of contemporary English. Thirdly, contain Greek-Roman Biblical allusions are not familiar to students. Solutions address these difficulties include acquainting with professional dictionaries annotated versions, differences between Shakespeare's grammar, canonized alluded to, like The Holy Scripture, Greek myths, as well European history culture.
